Wah! - Somesay

On this date in 1981, Wah! released their fourth single, "Somesay". It was backed by "Forget The Down (This Time)". The A side was on their debut album, Nah=Poo--The Art Of Bluff (though the single was a re-recorded version of the song). The B side was a non-LP track which had previously been released as an A side. The Liverpool post punk band changed their name several times over the years. They were Wah! Heat, Wah!, The Mighty Wah! and The 5000 Names Of Wah! They were led by Pete Wylie, formerly of The Crucial Three (with Julian Cope of Teardrop Explodes, and Ian McCulloch of Echo and The Bunnymen). Pete Wylie is still performing, but Wah-less.
